Congratulations to the Easton Baseball 12u District Team, who finished with a perfect 15-0 record winning the Cal Ripken Extreme League Championship Game on Sunday 3-2 over Pomperaug. The team finished with a 25-6 overall record this summer. In the championship game, the 12's relied on what earned them such a strong record, stellar pitching and great defense. Congratulations to Evan Corazzelli, Ryan Schmid, Ian Nilsen, and Christian Nilsen for being selected to represent Easton in the U12 District 4 All Star game on Saturday in Bethel. The All-Star game brings together the top 12 year olds from each of the District 4 towns (Easton, Bethel, Brookfield, Redding, Danbury, New Milford, and New Fairfield). Easton's U11 Summer team saw their season come to an end after a tough 8-4 loss to cross-town rival Redding on Friday night in the semi-finals of the U11 Xtreme League playoffs. The loss concludes a packed summer season that saw the team play 25 games over a 2 month period starting with the Memorial Day Tournament, followed by the Al Leonard Tournament, and finally the Cal Ripken Xtreme Summer League and playoffs.
